My favorite series of books is the Percy Jackson series. It is about a boy named Percy Jackson and how he has to fight the Titan's army. It's setting is basically the US, but some of the events also takes place in the more mythical places such as Mount Olympus. It uses the characters of Greek mythology such as Zues, Poseidon, Athena, Aries, and other Greek "gods". The reason I prefer this series of books over others is because I like the author's creativity of present day Greek "gods". For example, I like Aries, the Greek "god" of the sun, drives around in Mustang that is supposed to represent his horses. I also like how the author chooses his good guys and villans. For example, I like how the Titans are the bad guys, not Hades. If he is supposed to be a "god" of the ubderworld, shouldn't he be good because since he is related to Poseidon and Zeus?

I don't really understand how people like the "Twilight" series and the "Hary Potter" series. I started to read those books but I started to fall asleep while reading it. The books are actually good. However, the main idea in my opinion is not very good.

"Twilight" is really well written, but this book is an example of a messed up main idea. In my opinion, the main idea was that love conqures all, even if the person you love is a vampire. Vampire and love? You really could have done better with the vampire part. Besides that, it was a well written book.

"Harry Potter" doesn't have a main idea as bad as "Twilight", but it could have been better. As I read "harry Potter", the only main idea that came to my head was that there is always a bad and a good side to everything. Life, videogames, ... magic? As a Catholic, magic is supposed to be the devil's work, so I don't favor the use of "magic". Another thing is that there is supposed to be bad side to magic. Saing that "black magic" or "dark magic" is the evil side to magic just shows that there was no creativity put into this. Its almost as bad as plagerizim. What you're doing is basically copying another author's idea because almost every author I know uses the term "dark magic" or "black magic" to express that this special magic is bad. You could use "overpowering magic", "chaos magic", or anything else that is your own idea. You don't even need to use term to describe magic that is meant to be bad. You could do something like the series "Eragon" does. Just give magic a bad side-effect. Besides this, it was an interesting book.
